Being a watercolor artist myself, I am naturally attracted to everything that is painted or has an artistic print. Brush strokes, paint splatters, hand-drawn lines, abstract patterns… you name it! And the best is when you can actually wear art, which fashion ultimately is.
Unsettled Threads is a new series of monthly blog posts in which I will pick one item from my wardrobe and talk about it: what I like, what I don’t like, why I got it and when, if I anticipate it being a staple in my wardrobe or just one season fling, and everything else that I feel is fun, silly or note-worthy.
Today I feel like tearing everything down. Just stripping away my portfolio, my personal style, my old limitations and beliefs, and just starting anew, on a blank canvas. Not in a destructive, negative, kind of way, but in an inspired and excited way. I kind of want to restart my portfolio, my creativity, my vision for my other brand, all while keeping and rediscovering what I hold the most dear to my core.
