Time flew before my eyes and before I knew it, April packed its bags and May started getting comfortable in the world.
A lot happened in April, mostly grind and not-so-glamorous stuff though, so I wasn’t very active on the blog. I did, however, focused a lot on Klangwelt and writing over there. It sucks when you are down with the flu for over 3 weeks and you cannot stop coughing and feeling feverish every day. The good part about that is that all you can really do is write, write, write, read and sketch. So I did plenty of that, which always makes me happy.
Times – or even months – like this can serve as a great teacher of how little or how much control we really have over our external circumstances and how mastery truly means the way you respond to those circumstances that are beyond your control. I am a strong believer that each human being has the power to change their reality and bring forth their dreams, if they only become more conscious what they give power to. They can also live their biggest nightmares if they don’t take control over the direction of their lives and they agree to only listen to their fears. In the same time, I am aware that we cannot control absolutely everything in life. And that’s when having a leader mindset comes to play.
You see, what I’ve learned from running my own businesses is that being a boss does not mean that you are fail proof, that you never make mistakes or that you always know all the answers and what to do next. It does mean though that you are confident that you are going to figure it out. That no matter what life throws at you, you are going to find a way. That no matter where you come from or where you are heading, you can always turn your life around and create your happiness.
To me, being a boss also means knowing when to relax and stop to smell the roses (or the pretty flowers that guard dreamy archways in hidden nooks). Because if you do not take time to do what is nourishing, loving and good for you, you will eventually self destruct and drag everything down with you.
I hope May gives you the strength to be the boss and conquer your challenges, but also to stop and smell the roses.

May 2, 2017I love a good slogan tee – they can be so motivating.
I have to say that what drew me to this post was the front on shot of you on the steps.
I love your makeup – I am a little bit obsessed with eyebrows and yours are on point!
