My Favorite Runway Shows from Paris Fashion Week 2018

by

Paris Fashion Week is in full effect at the moment and I’m so excited to share with you a few ready to wear runway shows from my favorite designers, as well as news and upcoming events.

To start, I’ll post the Chloe show which I absolutely adored because it’s so totally my style! I loved the combination of feminine and delicate elements, (like sheer fabrics, floral prints or frills) with glam accents (accent jewelry, sparkly details) and edgy accessories (lace up combat boots, raw chains, masculine vests or leather jackets).

Next is a vlog of one of my favorite fashion bloggers of the moment, Aimee Song (Song of Style) – yeah, I know, she needs no introduction… 😊

BUT, what I wanted to mention is: the reason I love her so much is because she’s so down to earth, egoless, positive and transparent about her experiences (including her childhood bullying experience to which I can totally relate) – including not being afraid to show herself in less than glamorous moments (while wearing a sheet mask for example haha). It’s very brave of her to show her true self wholeheartedly, and it’s something everyone should aspire to do – I know I do!!

Another show I enjoyed a lot was the Saint Laurent one. I absolutely adored the slouchy boots, sparkling textures, oversized tops and the effortlessly chic vibe of all the outfits.

A piece of news that got me very excited was L’Oreal Paris‘ first ever fashion and beauty show on none other than the gorgeous and iconic Champs-Elysees, which will be transformed in a giant runway. The show will be held on October 1st and it is going to be FREE for everyone. Gosh I wish I was in Paris right now!

As well as showing off the hottest new fashion, the cosmetics brand will be presenting tons of hair and makeup looks, previewing the latest beauty trends for the spring/summer 2018 season.

Organized in partnership with the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (the French federation of haute couture and fashion) and with support from Paris City Hall, the show will treat the public and guests to a Paris-themed collection, celebrating the city – and in particular Parisian beauty – while also honoring a global spirit of culture.

At this season’s Paris Fashion Week, L’Oreal will also be celebrating its collaboration with Olivier Rousteing, creative director of fashion house Balmain, and the launch of their first joint makeup collection.

Hope you enjoyed my Paris Fashion Week highlights! I’m thinking of writing separate posts dedicated to Milan and New York Fashion Week, so let me know in the comments if you’d be as excited as I am to read them.

As always, much love ❤️
