When it came to creating stories and scenarios in my head, I’ve always been a “champion” at day-dreaming and sculpting dream-like sets and trying to express an untold desire to bring forth an almost fantasy-like existence.
I thrive off the excitement of creating new things every day and juggling a multitude of skills and interests. After all, what is life other than a fantastic adventure? So let’s put up a play and pose a dramatic entrance.
The beauty of this, the beauty of fashion, is that it allows you to be anyone you want to be, even if just for a fleeting, ephemeral, moment in time. To me, fashion is something intimate, personal, an expression of self, but also an exploration of who I could be or what I can create in my life.
For a few years now I’ve been obsessed with one shoulder and off-the-shoulder tops (or dresses). To me, they are the perfect combination between the aforementioned drama (or statement) and casualness. Cool, but also chic and polished. A one shoulder top, to me, is the perfect companion for an effortless look, when you only have time to throw on a pair of jeans (or a comfy skirt), a top, grab your bag and get out the door. As you can guess, I was so ecstatic when I discovered this top from TOBI…
