It’s the end of August and while I’m really baffled at how fast this summer flew by, I’m also starting to feel an autumn-y feeling creep up and I’m finding myself reaching more and more often for fall-colored items in my wardrobe. While in other years I’ve been more attracted to shades of brown, earthy beiges, taupes, mustard yellows and zesty orange tones, this year it’s time for olive to make the center stage.
Why is olive perfect for fall? Because it’s a color not super warm, but also not very cold either. It feels great wearing it on rainy days, but also on late sunny afternoons. It’s understated, but it can also look elegant and stylish when encountered in fabrics and materials like suede, silk, velvet, faux fur or satin.
I recently fell in love with these two Diesel and Zara bags and I immediately had to share them with you. Especially the furry tote is a weakness of mine and I can imagine all the coffee runs and work trips (a.k.a everywhere) that I would take it with me, like a life-long trusty friend.
Following the bag picks here are a few olive colored items of clothing that are a must-have for this year’s fall season. Just how cute is that Fenty lace-up bustier?
I’ve been eyeing that NYX Cosmetics Perfect Filter Palette for a while now and I think it’s time for a trip to Ulta… Seriously! 😆
I noticed olive eyeshadow looking particularly good on people with brown eyes, so try to work it in your fall makeup routine if you feel comfortable. I also love wearing olive eye looks with a dark lip, especially in burgundy, mauve or redish brown.
Least, but not last let’s not forget the power of a gorgeous olive colored heel – especially if we’re talking about a nice pair of open toe booties. I’ve just ordered a pair myself and I can’t wait to wear them with a couple of olive sweater dresses I own, as well as charcoal skinny jeans or grey, white and beige skirts.

August 30, 2017Such a beautiful fashion assortment.! Love the color and the styles. Fall is my favorite time of year. Lucky for us, we get to enjoy Summer for quite a while longer. But watch out Fall!

September 1, 2017Haha, I know right, fall just isn’t the same for us as it is for people up north. But we still get to enjoy sweaters, boots and all the cute fall fashion, so I don’t feel like I’m “missing out” on any joys (unless you consider shoveling snow at -20C a joy 😂). Glad you like my picks ❤️

September 1, 2017I’m going to Ulta tomorrow and I’m definitely checking out that NYX Perfect Filter palette!

September 2, 2017Awesome! I wanted to order it online, but it was sold out on Ulta. So I went to their official website instead and I got it there, together with the Lid Lingerie Matte in Oh So Fine and Bang Bang. Can’t wait to try them all, I have no idea what to expect from Lid Lingerie so it should be a great discovery 😊

September 2, 2017Olive has always been one of my go to Fall colors, along with maroon! They are such flattering and warm colors!

September 4, 2017Yes, they are indeed very flattering colors! I must admit, I’ve never been too keen on green shades, but this year I took quite a liking to olive. My usual fall go-to colors were taupe, brown, beige and grey, but this year I’m happy to fall (no pun intended ;)) in love with something a little different and surprise myself. ❤️
