Trends of the Season: Print Clashing, Luxe Athleisure & Masculine Style

Matching different prints or textures together is nothing new. It’s been done by many designers and many courageous fashion lovers who are not afraid to color outside the lines.

The key to making clashing patterns work is keeping it in similar tonal ranges. Another thing I noticed works is keeping one element of the outfit in a solid color, or adding a neutral accessory, like a belt for example, to separate or give more structure to the look.

But in the end, the whole point of print clashing is having fun and being bold, so as long as you love it, it doesn’t really matter how “perfectly” or not you pulled off this trend. It’s all about owning your inner artist.

Another trend for this season is infusing sport and athletic elements into your style. Besides the undeniable perks of comfortability, sweatshirts, sweatpants and luxe athleisure can also add that effortlessly cool element to any weekend (or weekday) activity.

All of the sudden doing your grocery run becomes a fun little adventure when you’re sporting out an oversized sweatshirt with those new cute sock boots you just got! 😉

All things that you can confidently borrow from your boyfriend’s closet this season because it’s (*finally* 🙄) ok to admit out loud that you’ve been doing that your whole life. I know it’s mostly because it makes you feel closer to him, but honestly it’s also so damn comfy!! Why do guys have it so easy?

It gets even more fashionable when you mix two trends together, like sporty with masculine or print clashing and masculine. Don’t be afraid to push boundaries!
